Hi, I'm Morgan! I was born and raised in the suburbs of New Orleans, Louisiana. In August of 2005, my family left New Orleans due to Hurricane Katrina. We moved to my parents’ college town of Sewanee, Tennessee, and I spent the next 10 years of my high school and college life there.

 

In 2015, I received my Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from The University of the South, and in 2017, I moved to San Diego to begin my professional career in content.

 

While in San Diego, I worked as both an Associate Editor for Cognella Academic Publishing and an SEO Content Writer for Siege Media. I earned my Master of Arts in Teaching from the University of Portland in May 2023, and I'm now an Associate Content Specialist at Course Hero.

I've been a writer for 6+ years (full-time and freelance). I've written content for various clients in the B2B and B2C space, including brands like Asana, Semrush, Shutterfly, and West Elm. I've also dabbled in journalism and have published pieces with Food & Beverage Magazine and Portland Monthly Magazine.

 

I'm currently working on growing my client base, with a particular focus on the education and nonprofit space. A life goal of mine? To publish my own book one day, while continuing to report and write!
